B’nai Brith Canada calls for removal of anti-Israel propaganda from recommended reading list for school children

TORONTO, March 25, 2010 – B’nai Brith Canada has called for the removal of The Shepherd’s Granddaughter, a vehemently anti-Israel book targeting students in grades seven and eight, from the recommended reading list of Ontario public school libraries. The one-sided work of fiction, which demonizes the Jewish State and was brought to B’nai Brith Canada’s attention by a concerned parent, is currently being recommended by teachers and librarians in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

  1. Sure even you should be able to tell the difference between banning a book and removing a book from a recommended reading list for students.

But never lets facts stand in the way of a good meme.

  2. BB: Good thing I never said that B’nai Brith wanted to “ban” the book. But don’t let facts stop you from dutifully tearing down the strawman that you erected in order to parse sematics in a weak-ass gotcha attempt, cuddles.

Hey, whatever makes you temporarily giddy in the trouser region.

  3. But removing a book from a recommended list isn’t a violation of “free speech”. Preventing someone from speaking by threatening to make a disturbance is.

Also, you have the links switched, which is mildly confusing.
